Walk or Run... Every mile counts!

JH Rec's "April Miles Bring May Smiles" is our little light-hearded competition to get our jay birds across the globe moving as a way to promote not only physical fitness, but mental wellness through time in nature, daily structure, and stress release. Cycling, scooting, boarding, and roller blading will not be counted.

*PLEASE use your best judgement to maintain social distancing measures and do not physically exert yourself if you are feeling unwell*

 

This challenge will run for 30 days. At the conclusion of April, the participants with the top three recorded miles will be awarded the following:

  1. One FREE private group F45 class to be redeemed in Fall 2020
  2. Intramural champion tech shirt
  3. Rec center fanny pack

You may use a pedometer or other step tracker to record the number of daily miles/kms traveled and record this number into the ChallengeRunner.com system either through the website or by using the ChallengeRunner smartphone apps. 

While it's most convenient to log distance every evening, you have up to seven days to record daily distance. The totals of those distances are then compared against one another and a real-time leaderboard is made available.
