Summer Break Challenge
This summer, the Department of Wellness is challenging our campus to take short breaks throughout the day to get moving! Even a few minutes of walking every hour can add up to big health benefits, such as reducing your risk of musculoskeletal disorders, boosting mood, and even improving feelings of energy. See just how many steps these breaks can add to your day in the Summer Break Challenge!
*All steps taken throughout the day can be logged. You do not need to limit your step entry to break times.
Dates: July 5 - 31
Teams: Recruit a team of up to 3 people.
If you are the first member of your team to register, create a team. If your team has already been created, skip to the next step.
Select Create New Team.
Enter your team’s name. Select Save.
Scroll through the list of teams to find your team’s name. Select your team. Click
Save.
Entering Steps Taken:
There are two methods of entering your steps into the Challenge Runner tracking system: 1) upload your steps to ChallengeRunner.com automatically by syncing your supported activity tracker 2) track your steps using a pedometer and manually enter them into the Challenge Runner platform each day.

The top three teams in total steps taken throughout the challenge will win a 40oz double wall stainless steel travel mug. (1 mug per team member.)
Additionally, all teams who have remained active throughout the challenge will be entered into a drawing for a free t-shirt from the Department of Wellness! (3 teams will be selected.)
